A good time was had by all at a very special performance at The Bitter End - New York's oldest rock club. With Loretta Jewbury unavailable for the show - Dolly Jewbury made a special appearance and was a huge success. "Well Hello Dolly," noted Earnest Jewbury from the stage, "It's so nice to have you back where you belong." In addition the show featured super special guest star Hot Lips Jewbury, all the way from California. Hot Lips wowed the audience with a big sound from him diminutive "Travelin' Trumpet".Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08984584963698318970noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-785319896197652301.post-34606747197300557032018-02-27T19:43:00.002-08:002018-02-27T19:43:21.313-08:00Once Again! Last weekend, on Saturday, June 21st, the first day of
summer, the Traveling Jewburys lent our support to the annual Make Music

outdoor street corner gigs in front of a public library on City Island in the
Bronx, and in front of a city bus stop near Bliss Street Station in Sunnyside,

Against the backdrop of World Cup matches and a gorgeous
day, the TJs joined a roster of some 1,300 artists and bands playing free shows
throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
The two neighborhoods we played could not have been more different from
each other, but the friendly crowds in both locations were enthusiastic and
generous, and we met some wonderful folks along the way. Most were people who encountered us while
going about their normal Saturday routines, and stayed to join the fun. Nothing beats the thrill of having complete
strangers warm up to the TJs and groove to our good-time music.
On February 28th 2014 you all had the rare chance to see the TJ's after hours - as all seven of us took the stage at the late night hour of 10pm. At our popular venue: National Underground, 159 East Houston Street - New York - 212.475.0611. As it turns out - this wonderful venue has since closed it's doors for good. But the band will always remember National Underground (and its Band Discount on Alcohol!) with fondness.
